For those of you who say I always wear black.. 😂 to be honest though I really love color but have to really force myself to wear anything colorful. I’m just so comfortable wearing black that I have to remind myself that life is too short and I don’t want to wake up at 50 wondering why I didn’t wear brights in my youth. ✌🏻 something to consider if you’re struggling with this.

Had the opportunity to pop into @rosalie.wayne for brunch today. First off, the restaurant decor is a dream and it matches the hotel where this restaurant located. Rosalie offers Italian Soul Food style meals and everything I tried was very tasty. I ordered the following:

1. Bianco Pizza
2. Roasted Beets
3. Crispy Potatoes
4. Baby Carrots
5. Latte (of course!)

I’ve been pretty obsessed with roasted vegetables lately so I was happy that they were available. Overall , this a cute brunch spot or dinner date spot 😉 aka whatever you need. 🖤🖤

After the last couple crazy weeks, @xxlove2smilexx and I decided to take a day off and check out @islandspasauna , a korean style spa located in Edison, NJ. Not gonna lie guys, it was nice to just lay around and do nothing but talk, eat and sleep the whole day. Not to mention that it’s pretty reasonably priced for the amenities they offer. Btw they offer really yummy Korean food (my fave) and freshly squeezed juice (I got Pineapple Orange). I’m glad I went- it was a much needed day of rest. #wannasauna #koreanspa #jjimjilbang

DISCLAIMERS YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE VISITING!

1- This is a Korean style spa (Jjimjilbang) in which, traditionally, all bathing/showering areas require you to be fully nude. These areas are separate for the ladies and gents and this is mandatory- no exceptions. If you are not comfortable being or seeing other folks in their birthday suits then I would suggest sitting this one out. Towels are allowed but you can’t wear them into the water baths.
2- Masks need to be worn in all areas including saunas. Only exceptions are when eating/drinking or when you are in bathing/shower area.
3- I prefer extremely hot saunas and unfortunately that was not the case during this spa trip. Due to Covid restrictions, the sauna doors are left open- aka air is coming in from the outside. It takes a long time to work up a sweat (at least for me). During regular times I think this would not be an issue so I am not that upset over this. Also, the dry sauna in the shower/bath area is the hottest and you don’t need a mask in there since it’s limited capacity. It was around 140F and was my favorite.
4- Lastly, I would suggest going during the week. Every space is limited to a certain number of people. I had no issues during my visit but during dinner time certain areas filled up and I had to wait to go into a sauna/bath. So I know for a fact I won’t be coming on a weekend next time I decide to come.

Overall I had a good time- or the best I could’ve had during current restriction issues. I’m just happy the saunas were open cause I seriously miss them 🤍😎🤍
